Belmont Academy stands as a testament to educational excellence and innovation in the heart of Bluefields, Westmoreland. Founded in 2009 as part of Jamaica's groundbreaking Centre of Excellence programme, our school was built with a bold vision: to provide world-class education that transforms lives and communities, regardless of students' backgrounds or starting points.
With an investment of J$300 million from the Jamaican government, Belmont Academy opened its doors to just over 200 students in Grades 7 and 9. Today, we proudly serve over 1,000 students, offering comprehensive programmes that prepare our scholars for CSEC, CAPE, City & Guilds, and NCTVET certifications. Under the dedicated leadership of Principal Rayon Simpson, our school has consistently demonstrated that with the right support, resources, and belief in our students, remarkable transformation is possible.
